The secret of the
B&S Challenger "MBX"
Bb-Trumpet is the
combination of a light brass bell with a "French bead wire" with a
refined, sharper bell rim edge for an improved projection. The new
"MBX" features carefully balanced bracing and true hand crafting and
traditional manufacturing methods.
Christian Martinez is one of today's most influential lead- and studio
players in France. During his outstanding career he has played live
gigs and recordings with Michel Legrand, Claude Bolling, Stephane
Grapelli, Gill Evans, John Scofield, Ray Charles, Diana Ross, Natalie
Cole - a long list of great names in music. For years, Christian had
already played on B&S Challenger trumpets. When B&S
decided to
develop a jazzy horn, it was only natural to contact him.
The result of this very fruitful cooperation is the B&S
Challenger
